  • Am radio power plug

I finally found a pushbutton am radio for my 64 Wagonaire.
I am in need of the connector (plug) that plugs into the rear of the radio for power & speaker. Also does this radio require a specific speaker?

Check the junk yards, or call a repair shop listed in TW. Someone told me it was a common GM plug for the earlier Delco radios, not sure about yours. Mine required a specific size speaker for the bolts to fit, but yours should be a more common size. Crutchfield has many sizes as well as Radio Shack online. If you aren't worried about it being stock, any good speaker will work. Who's going to crawl back there and look? Those old ones weren't very good anyway.

I've got one, George. As to a speaker, I think as long as it's an "8 ohm" speaker, it'll work just fine!
