  • CBC R2 Drive

Yesterday, while listening to CBC Radio 2 (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation), I heard the host of the afternoon program 'Drive' say, "You're listening to CBC R2 Drive." Of course, Studebakers immediately came to mind. I wonder if any other Canadian SDCers out there noticed this?

    Cheers.

      Hi Bill,

No, I'm not the only listener. My brother listens to CBC as well!
Seriously, CBC Radio 2 recently underwent significant format changes from the previous Classical music only format. Now R2 'Morning' is a mix of mostly Canadian musicians from all genres. The middle of the day is classical music. In the afternoon, R2 'Drive' is mostly Canadian Singer/Songwriter's music. After 'Drive' comes "Tonic" which is a jazz format.

In real life I'm an Architect and a music lover. Can you tell?

      Cheers!

      Jim
