  • Reedsville Report (Friday...now Saturday)

    Absolutely stunningly beautiful day.
    Bested 70 degree's.
    People in shorts and T-shirts.
Vendor count seemed lower than in past years.
    Lot's of chrome....
Met a load of people today.
Ate dinner at Peachy's (AJ Peachy & Sons)...
    A buffet (how surprising)
    Great food.
Wore some of it home on mt Stude shirt[B)]...
    Looking forward to tomorrow..
    Jeff[8D]
PS: JP has joined the dark side, by buying a Hemi powered '55 with an early nose on it... Neat ride[]

Glad you made it, Jeff. What did you do with the long johns? Cool look with the shorts.[)] I heard from one of the vendors that today was very slow and half of the normal vendors weren't there. Maybe tomorrow will pick up for everyone. Glad it worked out weather-wise so far.
Guido, big thanks for bringing up my deck lid. [^]

We were there today and the meet was good. The vendors were down a bit because the meet was held only six weeks after the national meet at Lancaster PA. Still a decent selection though. The meet should be back in full swing next year and it will be held later in Nov.2009. I believe on the 21 and 22.

Jim Turner and I just got back from Max Corkin's party...
            Here's a first for y'all..
I was at Max's wearing just a golf shirt..No jacket, sweatshirt, or arctic parka.
There was no fires burning in any woodburners.
            Had a blast.
Old stuff is still all there.
Just moved around to confuse us all.
            And the band?
            They were great....
            Good time tonight.
            Thanks to all..

Its 8:53 Am as I write this. There was some rain earlier but it was light. Even with temeratures in the 50's it still not very cold. Heck it is November in the Mountains of PA. We will be at the meet around 9:30 as the meet usually closes up around 1 or 2 PM. It was fun, great folks and good show! We will be back in 2009, the good Lord willin!

Vendor count was down however there were new vendors there that have not graced the floors of Reedsville in the past. Pat Foster again made an appearance in a Studebaker meet and yes he will be in York next Feb/Mar. Gary Hearns was vending as well as Don Simmons. Keystone's raffle car was there. Tickets were a hot item for the 82 Avanti. Also can be purchsed on the Keystone website also. Went looking for BondoBilly but he was conspicuously absent but his corner was occupied. Will be back to normal next year.

We are a bit upset that we missed the show, but Ellen was unable to get the time off. She started a new job 90 plus days ago and they allowed her to take off the time for Lancaster. We will be there next year, and I undersatnd it is later than this years dates.
