Ohhhh, just something I working on for the valve cover races for Cedar Rapids next year. The wheels, weights, paint, etc, are all there, but it still needs some minor things. I wanted the ride height just above the thickness of a playing card or a thick feeler gauge. It's still a work in progress though.....[:o)]

Ha PBR2!; that looks like maybe a brass based bayonet type tail light bulb attached to a pile of junk landing on the surface of the MOON! And a MSI K9N4 SLI whatever the heck that is, in the background! I guess the Russians got there first! Yikes that'll be some race! [:0]

Ah yes, I really should get a better shot of it. Low lighting, a camera with an about dead battery(and flash on), and a black surface on the racer don't exactly make for ideal conditions, lol. The idea was to have a low low racer, with a little futuristic creative design, and some off the wall engineering for functionality. I took an Anatomy book(one of those big atlas types) and put it down so I could have a flat surface to shoot from. The brass bayonet bulbs there are to act as rollers. Those are the flywheels that came off of one of my AHM engines that had a bum electric motor inside, and was being used in another project(they were lying around, lol). The box behind it, that's an Asus motherboard box, with the motherboard currently residing in the computer. I wanted to use the Asus wireless motherboard in the clone, but they were plum out at Tigerdirect, so I went with something else. I had a problem with the motherboard awhile back, which caused me to drag my computer packaging out to "read the shop manuals", so to speak. Ironically enough the problem was built into the motherboard(NVidia chipset can't work as fast as the 350 Gb SATA drive), so that required a change in Windows of how the data moves between HD and motherboard(The drive can operate between DMA or PIO mode, and the PIO mode was bluescreening Windows at random). The boxes never made it back to the basement yet, lazy me, lol.

Before getting to far off the beaten track, hope everyone's Halloween is going great.... :)

Oh, but of course ;)
It's a late 2 bolt 259 valve cover that I picked up at the Charlotte meet a couple years ago for next to nothing. It was kinda funny with the valve cover when I picked it up as it had three colors that I had to clean off of it(orange, yellow, and blue). Ironically enough I had the idea of going into valve cover racing after that meet, but I didn't see anything more on future valve cover racing so it sat on the shelf. It didn't have anything done to it until a couple weeks ago when I saw the Cedar Rapids post and that got the imagination machine hummin' again.

Track-terror Ted races valve covers. Bein' the competitor he is, he races two of them at once. Scares the be-jeebers out of the competition![}:)]
