Wow, that is one LOADED President, I wonder if it has Power Windows and Seat also?

Added: Thanks Bob and Craig! My bad, that is what happens when you just scan an ad not having any interest in buying! I looked at the pics and could not see the window circuit breaker under the hood or the inside of the doors and did not read the detail. [8][}:)] In an area like that, shipping to the West Coast of course, is more than it is worth to me! :(

Yeah, and that's my problem... I'm going right through there in a few weeks- and I've got this G-note of hobby money burning a hole in my pocket[:0]

Luckily, it will likely be well over that by the weekend;)

I know this car well. I almost bought it before the current owner. It seems to be very straight and solid. I would like to have it but I don't think I'm going to live long enough to finish the projects I'v already started. btw The seller is a forum member, and a great guy. His son who owns the wagon is pretty cool too. NT

The auction's not done yet!!:D

Actually, I have a 57 Provincial in the shop right now. I've put my Daytona aside to get this one up and running for Linda. 57s aren't really my cup of tea, but she really likes this car! And after wading through a rough summer in business like we had, the least I can do is make hers a priority[:X]

Heyyy..... maybe I could go over my budget for this one and sell the one I've got to make up the difference..............hmmmmmmm...

There ya go!! Sell the car your wife likes, yup, that's a really good idea.

And I'll volunteer for your jury.

No, the last thing I'd do is hurt her feelings. If I told her she couldn't have it and sold it she'd go along with it happily; she's on my team. That's precisely why I wouldn't do it!

Besides, you're not following; the subject car would replace this one- as in upgrade! The one I've got is super-solid, and runs well, but this one's a little better equipped.

Whose car is it? I'm wondering how the floors and frame are; also the interior.

Here I go again[:I]

Lee Skelly, son of Pat Skelly...
Longtime SDC members (South Georgia chapter).
This wagon has been at Lee's house under the carport with a car cover on it.
I have seen this wagon up close and it looks pretty darned good for it's age.
Sure, it'll need massaging, but it is all there...
I still am surprised it wasn't snapped up locally.
It's only about 15 minutes from I-95 and I-16 Bob, so it'd only be a few minutes off your route...
Doubt if it will still be available by then...
Pat and Lee are good people to deal with.
I'll vouch for both of them.
Oh, ask Pat about the very inexpensive '60 (IIRC) Hawk he has for sale, too...
That one would make for a nice starter Hawk project for someone.
I was surprised how nice it ran (on old gas, too!).
(Pat was putting a trans filter kit in it to stop a trans fluid leak last time I saw it)
Both good deals, IMOHO...
Jeff[8D]

It's a little sad to this one being sold, but I can understand not having the time to build it. You can bet it'd be a great car to have/drive/restore.

A couple of years ago, my granddad built a big garage for Pat, and I helped out during the summer. So I got to look at this car everyday. It's a nice, unrestored old car that really wouldn't take much to be a driver. And yes, it's FULLY loaded. The first time I looked it over, I was amazed at all the options. I'd never seen power seats and windows in a Stude before! I never looked under the car, but it was pretty straight and solid on the outside. The pictures really don't do it justice.

The car deserves to have a good home, and I hope it gets one. It's a nice old Prez.

It looks like a nice wagon.

You rarely see the President level without the optional front bumper guards, but I think that it looks nice and clean that way.

A couple of points;
1) The wagon is a Broadmoor model (note spelling).
2) Air conditioning was not available from the factory on a 1957 Broadmoor. This wagon appears to have a correct vintage Mark IV A/C unit that may have been installed when the wagon was new, but not an authorized Studebaker accessory (for someone planning a restoration).

The more I look at wagons the more I'm starting to like them.
A few months and I'll be 50...wonder if it's a age thing?

Side note to StudeDave...remember the blue wagon I looked
at for you at that consignment lot? It was driven into a shed
and hasnt moved or been started since.I'm working on getting it
available again.

Bob, I'll be 19 in March, and I love longroofs. I'd like to own a '57-58 Packard Wagon someday. (To park beside my '56 President Convertible...) Better start saving up now for that tailgate emblem... :D

You sure it's an age thing? :)

Which is why I spelled it correctly in my title and posts. I didn't want to pick on the seller, so I didn't mention it.
