We saw a reference on another post to a "Caravan Top" for the truck bed. We have hooks on our truck and always speculated what they might have been used for. Does anyone have a picture of the caravan top that they could share with us? Thanks in advance!

I have information on a caravan top for a champ pickup. It is a canvas type top with a metal frame. Looks like a fabric camper shell. I don't have pictures for an R series truck.

P.S. Three guys at work just purchased homes in Queens Creek. Cessna Service Center is moving to Williams Gateway Airport in December.

Cargo hooks were installed on many trucks to allow tying down a tarp over the bed. The Caravan tops used an interior aluminum frame but didn't need the hooks. Covers and frames for narrow-bed C-cab trucks and M trucks were the same. See http://www.studegarage.com/Caravan.htm for more info.

Is there any other way to get one, other than making it ourself? Doug, the guys from your work should enjoy it out here. The weather is great (about 95 degrees today).

When I was looking for a truck, I had pondered getting a top. I had come across this way back when on the show "Trucks" on Spike. This is another method of acquiring a top, through the aftermarket, but measurements may be needed to get the correct dimensions. Unfortunately for this site, it looks like it's changed since I looked at it last as they're having supply problems!! :(

Doug, would you mind sharing? I have a Champ for which Caravan Top would be just the ticket!
