  • Bullet nose????

Forgive my dumbness, I am a 61 Lark person, but what are the names and years of the bullet nose type Studebakers? I may be the hunt for a driveable dream bullet nose..Thanks.

They were made in 1950 and 51. In 1950 the Champion was a small six, the Commander and Land Cruiser were big sixes. In 51, the big six models were switched to V8's and the suspension and brakes were upgraded to the basic style carried through to the end. The front clip on the 50's was longer to except the longer big six on the Commander/Land Cruiser.

If you get a '50 it'll probably be a 3 on the tree. Also, the center (bullet) part of the front end on a '50 is steel and it's plastic on a '51. I can attest to the fact that they draw quite a crowd at car shows and cruises....
