View Full Version : My Monster LIVES!

Today was the day - Barney came back to life! :D:D:D Took a couple of tries, but he fired up sweet and clean! I posted video on YouTube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSW_fzsDJ0Y

(Caveat: my 13-year-old son took the video. If you have a weak stomach, down a Dramamine before watching [:o)])

As you can see at the end of the video, I had a small fuel leak. It's at the 90-degree fitting that comes out of the fuel pump; should be an easy fix. I'll also need to re-clock the distributor, since by the time I'd rotated it to where it needed to be to start, the vacuum advance was nestled against the firewall [B)]

And that... is the best Stude day I've had yet! [^]

Thanks to all who've helped and advised, with special shouts to Mr. Biggs, StudeDave, StudeRich and Bob Palma for putting up with my anxious questions. Thank you!

Yeeeehaw! Go Barney go...ain't nothin' better'n a Brooks Stevens Lark 2dr sedan. Sounds terrific too.

(Say. We'll have to introduce our Larks to each other. "Barney" and "Betty" made a pretty good couple in The Flintstones, no?):D

:) Cool beans, Clark; it sounds good. (I see what you mean about the creative video and the Dramamine!)

'Sure does look like a nice, solid car. And with a V-8 and duals, ready for serious cruising. Good news all around. :DBP

Yeah, it's where the fuel pipe to the carb screws into the 90-degree outlet fitting on the pump. But hey, at least it's easy to reach [}:)]
