  • Disc Brakes for 30's Studebakers

Can 30's Studebakers be modified to accept disc brakes and keep the original suspension. I found a site(DiscBrakeMike.com) where he has kits for cars into the 40s. Also found where early 50's Hudsons were retrofitted with front disc brakes. I assume that those cars also had king pins.
Just wondered if anyone here has attempted this or has more information.
    Thanks,
    Steve

Contact Jim Turner at Turner Brake. He would know what is possible for your car.

I'll bet it can be done. A disc brake is not so different from a drum brake. A year or so ago there was a student at our local college that drove a Model A with disc brakes and stock wire wheels. Other than the brakes, the car appeared stock.
