  • 1962 Air Cleaner (Orange Banjo Type)

Would any of the vendors have one of these for sale? I had one promised by a club member who was going to get it painted but when I asked how it was going (after nearly 4 months) his reply was "dunno" (Don't know). So I said I didn't require it anymore.

Due to Quarantine it would need to be painted, not a rusty old thing and have both the lid and screw/wingnut. Or alternately, just the lid/screw as a mate has a body but no lid.

John; all of our USA and Canada '62 V-8's use a round bLACK metal can with a small snorkel tube coming off of it to pick up cooler air, and they come in 2 Brl, 4 Brl, and Wet or dry type in both. maybe you could call it Banjo shaped, but never ORANGE! Maybe your's were in-Country supplied. Most 6 Cyl. '62-'64 type do not have the intake tube.
They were all made by United Specialty Co.

That gives you FIVE choices, six if they made a 6 Cyl. Oil Bath Type!

Thanks Rich, probably locally supplied. I'll try here.
