Check this out! I almost clicked on the BIN, but my Studebaker money is better spent elsewhere just now. Help yourself[8D]

that looks really cool...however i don't care for the dog being there. the dog kind of removes the "timelessness" for me - just my opinion - but well done, in any case.

...and the dog is completely out of proportion to the rest of the model. The good news is, in the next picture to the right taken from the same angle, the dog is gone. Looks much better.

Totally unrealistic.
First thing stolen off the car would have been the buttletnose.
And where are the puppies?

Up here in Minnesota we'd say this fellow has the rust reproduction spot on.

I'd imagine the materials cost and time investment has put the seller upside down in this project in true Studebaker fashion.

I think it's nice work, but I'd swap the collie for a rottweiler to protect that bullet nose.

IIRC, at the '05 SE SDC Zone meet in Gainesville there were several Stude dealer buildings
(or were they gas stations) up for a Chinese auction..
(I don't remember).. up for grabs...
They were real neat..
A lot more detailed than the Ebay Texaco building...Jeff[8D]

I was less concerned about the size of the dog as I was to the breed. A Collie as a junk yard dog???? Gimme a break. Where's the Rottweiler?? Or the Dobie?

I dunno after seeing the show Gearz I think otherwise on the Collie. Of course that would probably mean changing the scene around it to a concrete slab underneath with a nice clean wall behind it with a toolchest in back.... [:o)]

Hmmm, a nice Pure bred, black on black German Shepherd(drug dog our local P.D got from Hungary many years ago) in place of the Collie. They don't play rough, too much [}:)] [}:)]

I'm gonna hafta enlarge the shop soon. Too many things, 'n too much stuff. The curved walls of a Quonset make it difficult to
hang shelves, things 'n stuff.

I'm still wanting an old juke box, but no room...

Hey, your thanks aren't necessary, I'm glad I could hep!:D Now you need to take a picture of the least-used side of your quonset and have the seller alter the piece to look like that[8D]

Now, I just hope he doesn't make one featuring a derelict Lark...... and don't give him any ideas;)

Actually, truth be told, I thought about writing and seeing if I could commission him to do a Lark-based piece for about the same price[8D]

There was a retired race car owner that got into building beautiful models of race cars where I raced. He offered to do one of my car since I was Rookie of the Year. Having seen his work I was flattered, and asked if he would also do a couple of my previous cars, all of which I would buy. He got excited about it and went about purchasing a bunch of supplies and materials, intending to do 4 for me. As fate would have it he was diagnosed with cancer just a couple weeks later, went downhill fast, and passed away in just 3 months.[V]

So, if this guy is really into this stuff, he might be able to acquire some orders for specific cars/scenes. I know I'd like some[8D]

Anyway, good score, Dave. How about a few better pictures when you get it?[:p]

My Mom's Uncle had a farm warehouse a few houses down from us. They always had two collies outside the place. They were good watchdogs. They lived next door so all they had to do is hear the dogs bark if some intruder came along.

That's truly a neat piece! I'm going to see if he'll do one with a Lark... of course, the problem would be finding a Lark car that's a suitable base for it...

No way I'd call it a waste- it's a really nice piece of art, and I bet in a few years you could sell it for a profit[8D]

I don't think that's a good idea... wouldn't having the Evil Twins together in the same state trigger an apocalypse or something?[:0]

Well, something happened to earn you the name "Evil Twins"....... I figured it was based in what would happen if you got together and turned your nuclear weapons keys simultaneously or something....

Not sure why anything is anyone's fault and having trouble following this ;) but maybe it is Matthew's fault because after all he is the one working with "counter parts". :D
