Dave, It says it's a 1937 pickup drawn by some kind of computer art software.

He (they?) are trying to sell the artwork file that he digitally created.
There are a lot of other cars on the site.
I just thought it interesting to see what his choice of subject matter was.

If the seller can get his price it's art, otherwise its just another computer jockey playing around. I'd opine that the grill looks like plastic, not chrome, as if he took is subject from a scale model, not a real car.

Can't say for sure but it could be 3D art/renderings that can be incorporated in video games, etc. as it appears as though one could view/rotate the art from a 360 degree vantage point. Much more complex than a static computer-generated illustration. Of course, I could be wrong.

Hard to tell. Maybe if he put a Bratz doll on the fender...
The inspiration is clear to those of us familiar with the '37 CE.

However, the "pudgy" proportions make it seem more like a preschooler's toy than a serious rendering.

It would be the coolest ride ever on "Bob the Builder".[8D]

We shouldn't complain that it isn't perfect. It's amazing that it exists at all. I wonder how many hours of CAD work that took?

There are nearly 4000 3D models of cars on the TurboSquid site, plus other files or people, buildings, tanks, etc. If you want photo-realism, try this of a 1965 Porsche:
Stunning 3D library, trusted by the worlds biggest companies. Exclusive models ready for any project, VFX, games, architecture, VR/AR, advertising, & more.

                Or, some Camaros:
Stunning 3D library, trusted by the worlds biggest companies. Exclusive models ready for any project, VFX, games, architecture, VR/AR, advertising, & more.

With the computer model, a view can be generated from any angle and it can be animated. Here's my less-than-photorealistic model of an M5 bed, but it gives the idea. I haven't drawn the rest of the truck.
                http://www.studegarage.com/images/be..._bed_movie.wmv [1.2 MB file]

These days, you can put a real car in a 3D laser scanning system to map all of the surfaces for making the CAD model. It's this technology that helps to make much cheaper reproduction of parts possible, maybe even '53 C-K or '48 M5 steel fenders some day!

Indeed, the file format lends itself to a 3D object and I'll tell ya why [)]......

Back when I went to NIU I had a game known as freespace. It was a space simulation combat, shoot em up kind video game, much like Flight Simulator. It also had a following on the Internet that many users would create objects and insert them into the actual game. In other words the game could be modified if the user had the talent. Well, one of the steps involve the use of Blender and 3D Exploration? to create the object and then convert it to the video game's programming format. If the user had the imagination, they could put their own ships into the game or draw a ship in 3D and insert it as an object into the game. I myself was never really good with this due to I had a terrible time lining up spheres, bricks, and cubes to look like it was a whole object [)]. Now for that I give the artist credit, they got some work put into that rendering there. Only thing is the pricetag for the download.....one usually can pickup these downloads from the internet for free, unless it was purely destined for a cornstarch printing, it's shareware, or something to that effect [?]. I would expect a physical frame and a signature at the bottom, or the physical cornstarch model as an addition for that price. [?]
