I was completely surprised today when I had my M5 project weighed. On the Chevy pickup frame with 350 ,700r4, 12 bolt rear with air the truck came out at 3720 lbs! I was thinking about 3000 lbs.,so to say I was setback is a understatement. My 36 ford 2 dr. sedan only weighed 3300 lbs. With my wife and I in truck that means over 4000 lbs. going down the road ! (a tank !)( talking of the truck, not us!)

Randy, That is a bit distressing. Power to weight ration really takes a hit there. My son and I are aiming at 2200 lbs in a Lark we are going to build. We're using a 59 2 dr sedan body, no bumpers or brackets, stripped interior, gutted doors, plexi windows, all aluminum LS2 engine and trans, so we are hoping to keep the tonnage down to a bare minimum. We'll see how it all goes, eh?
