View Full Version : Hi, new (old) guy with question

Hi all,
I just found this forum and am glad to see alot of names from the newsgroup days. It has been a while.
I found a clock that was in a 54 hardtop that I parted out a few years ago. I don't know if it a Studebaker clock or not. The date stamped on the back is Feb 49. Hopefully, someone might recognize it.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Not a Studebaker clock.

That is a 49-51 Ford clock

Thanks, I figured someone would know what it fit. I have no idea how it got in the old hardtop I had. I think it was in the trunk.

If the hands are metal, it's for a '49 Ford, if they are plastic hands it was made for a '50 Ford, if I'm not mistaken. It should be for the '49, unless it was for an order for the next fall.

Welcome aboard, Jamie! Aren't you the guy I sold some C-K floorboards to???

Yes sir Mr. Biggs, that would be me. I'll never forget driving home with those floors hitting me in the head every time I slowed down, (never haul full length floorpans in a Windstar).
I've been lurking for the last couple of weeks and I enjoyed reading some of your Stude stories.

Thanks Lenny,
At the moment , I am Studebaker-less. I have worked a deal on a 59 Lark, which should be home soon. Plenty of work to be done, but I will have just about everything I need to put it together.
I have my eye on a 62 or 63 Daytona, found at a little shop down the road from me. A nice complete car with what looks like minimal rust.
I inquired about it to a kid in the shop and he knew nothing about it, said I had to catch the owner of the shop when he was around.
These two cars will get me by until I find a decent C/K .

P.S I see you are in Atlanta. I was raised near Sandy Springs.
