View Full Version : 1966 Daytona on eBay w/1967 Prototype Styling?

Take a look at eBay auction #180286642063. It's a 1966 Daytona with styling cues that were contemplated for 1967, including a raised rear bumper and a two section grill. It's also missing the lower side chrome and appears to have different looking hubcaps as well. The photos in this auction aren't the greatest but the hiked up rear bumper caught my eye right away and I wondered if any of the rest of you noticed this car.

I noticed it too & e-mailed the seller asking for the vin#. All I got back was a seemingly curt answer saying the vin is in the listing. Where its hidden is anyones guess.

VIN is listed as C132604. Looks like a '66 that someone has modded to me.

I remember that SDC member Ben Ordas was making a 67 replica about 15-20 years ago. Maybe this is it (he was located in Indiana).

Thanks Clark....this is really strange because that vin does not show up on the listing here. I've looked for it dozens of times & nada!
