    ...Will be at Lancaster!

Currently there are three Rocknes registered to attend Lancaster. That's 2% of those known to exist in the world. Is this the largest turnout in recent record?

Last week I called Advance Auto and asked for a set of points and condensor for a '33 Rockne. A few seconds later the guy asked if it was the Commander Six. He didn't have them in stock but could have them the next day. I got two of each. It never hurts to check your FLAPS.

I'm amazed that he even knew what you were talking about. Most Advance/Autozones don't even recognize Studebaker.

There was a Rockne at Branson this year. You never know what will show up. Sorry, but I was out of memory in my camera by the time I saw it.

I got the owners name and contact info on that Rockne. I had seen it maybe 10 years ago in West Plains, MO. I'm going to give the info to Larry Tholen for his roster.

Met a guy around 10 years ago that had 4 or 5 Rockne coupes.
Dont believe he was a SDC member.I know he is still around
so maybe I can track him down and see if they are on any registry.

                Anne,
The black and red car is a 1955 coupe. I will try to post a picture tonight. There is picture of it at this link:

There was a Rockne owned by deceased AMC/Studebaker dealer, Mike Ricker in Whittier, CA until a few years ago. When he passed, his son liquidated most of the cool, old cars Mike had collected. I have no idea where his Rockne ended up. I'd set in it a number of times, but while it was in operable condition, I never actually saw it drive. It was a nicely restored example. I might have a photo of it around here someplace.

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

There's a young guy at a FLAPS here that knows his stuff, and doesn't ask "who makes it?" when you need Studebaker parts.

                        Oh yea, that's me. [)]
