With apologies to Willie Nelson, I'm on the road again. had a friend drive me to the Auto Electricians to get the turn signals going - result 1 new fuse cost "free" and off we went. Inflated the tires and had a drive, getting used to the steering and am going off tomorrow to show a friend.

Gee it's good to have Studebelle ready to go, though of course there are numerous other minor things to do also, including a strip down to bare metal and a respray in the original Grey color, kind of like US Navy Grey.

Will charge up the Camera (Batteries) tomorrow and take some shots.

Hope y'all enjoy that meet in Lancaster.

Way to go John......"Back on the road again"... watch out for any
stray "roo's that may be about! Keep us posted with some pictures
of "Studebelle" when you can! "Battleship Grey" is a great color! :)

Your handle is Avantilover, but I guess that you are not referring to an Avanti since you are going to strip it down to bare metal <G>.

Wait no more Leonard, I took these today outside the District Conccil of Mt Barker chambers about 25 mins SE of Adelaide CBD.

I drove Studebelle about 130 miles to give her a run after sitting for the best part of 5 months, and she ran well, apart from a few stalls, maybe due to the earlier air cleaner (hope to get the correct one at this months general meeting)

Gary, yes, I originally thought of an Avanti but when one as nice as this with perfect floorpan comes along for $AUD3000 how could I say no. Yes, Matthew a 1962 Lark Regal with interior and paint done here in Australia to save of import taxes.

Thanks for the pictures John. All it needs is some wheel covers (and maybe white walls) and it will be looking good.

Have wheel covers coming Leonard, tires are new so Whitewalls will have to wait. Thanks for the nice comments, I had a blast driving it, hadn't had such fun for years.

Hey, John

Really enjoyed your slide show. Good looking Lark, and apparently good running, also.

I am proud to see you realize your dream of being a Studebaker Driver.

Thanks Bob, yes, I was doing 60 (indicated) MPH and wondered how it would go so put down my foot for a few secs and it easily went to an indicated 80, but I slowed down again - can imagine the car easily achieving the 120 indicated on the Odometer, really ran well, then again it had been driven until I bought it 5 months ago when it just sat until funds were available to pay it off.
