Steering Box 53 C-Cab

I have a steering box from a 53 truck. It has a lot of sloe in the steering wheel. I took the nut loose and the adjustment screw will only turn about a 1/16 of an inch either way. There is about 3/16 inch of the screw sticking out. It is not mine just trying to help a guy out. I have a box from my 51 Champion. They probably wont interchange.
