The Lancaster Host is located in Lampeter Township. Raffles are illegal!
You will not be able to purchase chances on the quilts, cross-stitch or the Keystone Raffle Avanti II at the site. Attempts to do so may result in their confiscation![:0]

Anyone wishing to procure chances on the quilts and cross-stitch should do so beforehand. Link: http://www.sdckeystoneregion.com/index-2.html#quilt

Reference this earlier post for information.

Chances on the Raffle Car will still be available at many other venues before the York Swap Meet.

Brad,

Are they legal down at Miller's? If so, we can get a bunch sold at the Truck Farmers dinner.

One of the ways we are planning to get aruond this little hick up is to sell the tickets on the tour buses once we exit East Lampeter Twsp. Miller's is also in East Lampeter TWSP but we are working on an alternative site.

What's the raffle car again?

Don't worry, I won't be buying tickets. Winning one raffle Stude is plenty. :)

Will they be having an auction night? If so, put the quilts and cross stitch up for auction.

Will an auction be legal/allowed there? You may need a permit and a licensed (in PA) auctioneer.

Car will be givebn away at York Swap Meet we do have a license and have had one for years. Two Twonships in Lancaster County do not permit raffles or other small games of chance we happen to be in one of them for the meet Hotel. This strong Amish countyr and the township residents have the local option to pass the ordinace, County and Township are wet so no worry there. Hope that answers the question. We are hoping to have our club website up and running as a secure site to accept payment for merchandise including ticket sales on this 82 Avanti. Patience is avirture so they say so stay tuned as we are very close to the website thing. Charity auction such as the SDC is doing is OK.

Mark, there will be plenty of trucks around ranging from little ones to very big ones. Maybeeven a surprise ortwo. Also as we speak there is an interactive display of all all varieties of Stude P/U's and a few other Commercial Stude vehicles being put together in the RR Museum of PA. One of the vehicles is an authentic PRR "C" cab p/u. Another is a "T" cab a;ong with a Coupe Express and an M series or two. Who knows what else may find it's way in there. Oh there will also be a "C" cab (50) p/u in the Studebaker display being placed in the AACA Museum in Hershey. These displays will be in place for about a month or so and at least through Fall Hershey.

It's been a few years since Keystone raffled a truck. We'll no doubt be looking for a good one soon. Heck! We may be looking for a good one now!

Talk to us at Lancaster.

Let me get this right...drinking-good, handmade quilt raffles-bad. Got it. I certainly want to be legal. I'll have to lift a few pops at night to keep warm, I guess. :D
