  • Studebaker Driver on 8/23

Just to keep everyone updated, I paid the final installment off the Lark at our meeting tonight, and will collect it on Saturday (Friday US time).

Fancy that, me a Studebaker owner (smile).

Will take it on it's first club run Sunday, runs well too.

I pity you and your family for you having brought this pox upon them. How could you, in good conscience, willingly and with aforethought caused such suffering to your fellow human beings. Don't you realize the scope of the Studebaker disease for which you have allowed yourself to become infected??? It will haunt your every day for the rest of your life. I know it has, mine. But, I must say.... I love it so..... forgive me, but I do love it so.......

Photos will come, as for family, well that's my Cats and the Studebaker club both here and you guys and girls, - mom is in a nursing home with advanced Alzheimers and dad has no interest in cars though he leant me the money so I could get it now. Was going to be later but Trevor's son has a 1971 Holden Monaro that he's restored and the carport space is required. Should be nice, they are selling for over A$100,000, (he bought it for A$32,000).

This one is a 1971 V8 Holden. Great resemblence to the GTO.
Gotta love those Holdens. 350 V8 powered. I love watching the Australian V8 Supercar racing on Speed Channel. Cool

Well, I now have the car in my carport, Trevor (club president) drove it here tonight. It needs the correct air cleaner which I can get from other club members. It's been off the road for 5 months so will take a little while to get in order, but I'm thrilled that I can go out and touch it.

Yes, Sal those Monaro's were good in the day, you'll have to come down here to a meet in person.
