Those are not Aero strut wheel covers. They appear to be Lancer spinner covers. Probably reproductions.

What Frank said. Those are not Studebaker-issue wheel covers. BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

        Thanks for that heads-up, John!

With bright [8D] sun hitting the chrome on a like new set of real deal "Aero-Struts" on the Stude driving by, they will simply knock your socks off!!! John, there will be no way to confuse real deal Studebaker "Aero-Struts" with anything else that has ever graced the wheels on a Studebaker ...IMHO that is.

That car is in great condition, and TODAY it IS very rare! Only because very few of these were saved.
Certainly not because they were desirable in the day, or even actually rare, because for a 1958 Studebaker, 1455 is certainly NOT rare. It sure would UP the desirability factor, if it were a O.D. car though! []
Remember in '58 2 dr. sedans, this is as good as it gets, there NO '58 Commanders or Presidents! [V]

I do not fault this guy at all, he has a few misunderstandings in the ad like: "IN FACT, THE COWL TAG SHOWS THAT OUR COLORS ARE UNTOUCHED ORIGINALS, CODE #P5860, PARADE RED AND PARCHMENT WHITE." which of course we know, did not come from the body tag! Maybe from the under glovebox paper paint code label though. But these are certainly NOT misrepresentations or lies.
I like their Desoto Dealership and original parts Dept. and family Museum story, they sure are genuine CAR GUYS!

I think it is really cool that they did not restore an ordinary Plymouth, Dodge or Chrysler Dealership, but a real Desoto one! -Awesome!

Does anyone know how to install a computer access block, on this post and that ebay ad? We need to keep StudeDave57 out, or the result might be a financial drain on his Bank Account!! [:0]

That's a car I'd love to have, restore mechanically, and just drive the wheels off it.

Go to photobucket's "resize" clickdown! Chose "small"

Wow; that photo program sucks, it's supposed to get sharper not fuzzier!

As stated above by Bob Palma they were not a Studebaker wheelcover. I remember them as being a cover used on some late 50's Dodges. It also sticks in my mind that they were reproduced for the aftermarket.

Frank; a little hint here, if you do not know: you can delete all of the picture address in a "reply to post" and the unneeded text, OR better yet use the "Reply to Topic" option at the bottom if everyone will know what you are responding to!

That way we do not have to waste all this computer server space, our screen space and all of the Dial-Up guys time, to load this stuff, it works great on small pics and even better on these giant kind! One pic of each needed one, per TOPIC should be plenty.

Most posted Pics are close to this big, and of course this was just a signature photo error that has been fixed, but do we really need 3 of these GIANT suckers? [:0]

John, (289stude) That's look'in real good now, with the new sepea? tone (brown) old look, but smaller! You can click the "trash can" on the (3) test posts now. Also you could have used the "preview" button at the bottom instead.

Don't ya just LOVE this Forum format? I do, it is so simple to use once you figure it out, and has so many neat options, it's really great! [^]
Thank you Bob Shaw! I only wish the other Stude. Forums like the Truck Talk etc. were only HALF this good!

Too late~ heard about it already, and will be watching closely...
It's too rare of a car not to, right?

The question on my mind is this~ Did they get permission to post that 1958 production chart from anyone? That's an August 1991 Turning Wheels the finger is poining at...

They are all clearly aftermarket, like the '58 Champion, the Stude and Dodge did not have a bullet, and they were no earlier than mid 1950's.
