  • DEEPNHOCK Studebaker At New Home

    After a lengthy tumultuous journey...
The last big item from my recent move to SE Georgia has been completed.
Spent the last 5 days in Holiday, Florida (near Tampa) at Lloyd Kendrick's Auto Body putting the Coupe Express back together after paint. Figured that having Lloyd paint it while I was moving 'other Stude stuff' would be the prudent thing to do. Painting a pre-war Stude is not for the feint of heart, as it has to come apart in a gazillion pieces to paint it nicely. Putting a Stude back together that someone else took apart is a pita.
Here's a pic of it after the finish sanding and rub out. Still needs some more 'rubbing on' (a Dave Lester term) and some trim to go.
Brought it home last night. That part felt real good......
    Jeff[8D]

Won't be ready in time.... (But where is the meeting?)
Still have to put the interior back together, mount the tail lights (no holes in new rear fenders) and hook all the wiring back up...
Then it gets a bath... A month in body shop dust makes shiny stuff look awful[:0]
                Jeff[8D]
PS: Why aren't you in school right now???

Beautiful truck !!! Makes me very envious Wish I could see it in person some day but it's a long haul from Missouri to south Georgia (almost said Florida). You always keep her lookin' so nice.
