Questions: was there a Redskins player by the name of J. Stillwell in 1963? Or someone in management?

Does anyone know if this AVANTI still exists?

I regret the figures did not line up as I typed them. Thanks for any input,

R3370 is alive and well and lives in DE. Several years ago we had a gathering at the Hagley Museum during the premier of the Loewy Exhibit and this car was one of the 50 or so Avantis that was there. The next year at a Loewy seminar at the Hagley I had the pleasure of spending the day with the owner and his wife who were also there. If you are interested in the owner let me know off line and I will give you his name and phone# if you want it. Can't help you with the Stillwell question but the dealership still lives on under another name know as J&S Autohaus Inc.

Thanks for the news that this Avanti still lives. I am assuming you keep track of Avanti by the body number (in this case # 3370) more so than the serial (chassis) number.

The mystery to me is why would the factory tag this car for the Washington Redskins if it were simply ordered by a player? Obviously this was an ordered car vs. a dealer stock vehicle because of the RUSH command. Or could this Avanti have been in the Philadelphia Zone Office's inventory and was sent to the Redskins for some type of display/advertisement/promotional activity and later sold? Just wondering.

I may call you later to make contact with the owner.

Frank, I suggest that you ask eith Dave Kinny or Roger Penn and also perhaps Skip Lackie the questions on the Redskins side of this story. It is interesting that the car was sold through a dealer in Trenton instead of the DC Metro area but who knows stranger things have hapened

The only link I could find on Goggle with that last name and Redskins was a political fraud involving ticket with a guy of that name.
