The F Body was essentially a 4 door body with modifications to the door openings. The door post was removed, the front door was made larger. What was left, was "plugged" with a welded panel that fit the opening with a door jamb on one side. The panel was essentially a cut down door with a window regulator. The seam was filled with a weatherproof sealer, but didn't hide anything, until the 55 models came out with a vertical chrome strip that went over the rear seam. The interior upholstery hid everything on the inside.
