I went to the RM Astor auction yesterday to see the Packard Hawk. I believe it was #470 and was an older restoration but very well done, much better than the red/white one down in Escondido. Thought very strongly about a final surprise bid, but when the $$$ reached the $50K number, I let it go. Some nice Packards were there too, nothing special but they too were hitting 'Good' bids, guess I'll wait a little longer to see if this downturn ever hits the affluent. A '57 Packard wagon will go today.

All of Art's stuff is in pretty decent shape. I don't think he's put a lot of money into the collection recently, and he's now very old, which explains auctioning off some of the pieces. I don't remember if he had any Studes.

Yes, the Packard Hawk that Art Astor owned is serial # 1470. Anyone know who did buy it?
