    There was mention of Studebaker financing cars in the 1942 book, "More Than You Promise" by Kathleen Ann Smallzried and Dorothy James Roberts. If dinner wasn't ready, I would try to find the specific reference.

      I do not have access to the book Gary mentions here. If somebody that does could glance at it to help answer my original question about the Studebaker Corporation actually providing financing for its cars and trucks as early as 1917. I came across this as part of an advertisement for one Herbert Ramsaur, who was local Studebaker dealer in 1917.
