I live and drive in southern california and need to find a rebuit dg250m transmission. Is there any where near here that would have one already rebuilt in stock. I want the whole ball of wax incuding a new or rebuilt torque converter. I have a core thats in the car now. The problen is it makes grinding noise when it shifts from intermediate to high gear under light to normal throtle. Sounds like maybe the clutch in the torque converter is not much good? The rest of the trans just leaks like heck.

My DG 250M is at the rebuilder right now. This guy does nothing but classics and ID'd the tranny right off the back of the truck. Stude Int'l had all the seals and gaskets, so I supplied him with that. He's in Woodbridge, Ontario. If you need a contact #, let me know.Dave Warren (Perry Mason by day, Perry Como by night)

I'm glad you found a rebuilder. I know of another transmission rebuilder in NW Toronto that was very reasonable.
We had trouble finding gaskets a few years ago. It seems that the DG250 was the base transmission for 60s Jaguar, and the prices were shooting up. I had trouble locating a new parking pawl. I managed to find the parts
