    Interesting question Ed.
Especially since the definition of hybrid in 1966 was surely different than it is today.
I think the 'dual fuel' engines used in the deuce and a half's from the Jefferson Street AM General plant...but I am not sure of the dates there...
I'd be interested to know exactly what trucks Studebaker did build in 1966...

1966 Studebaker was to be a pickup with a gasoline driven DC Generator. I only saw a model of the truck.
Front had a clam door; front passengers faced foward, rear seat faced backward. The GENSET was between the seats.
Looked like 4 wheel drive. Motor to drive front wheels: Motor to drive rear wheels Ed Bauer

In 1975 there were 352 electric powered trucks built in the former Studebaker Plant No. 8 by many former Studebaker employees, but I doubt that is the info you're looking for.

The one I think Ed is referring to is kinda like a futuristic version of a Greenbriar pickup. I saw a model of it at the Omaha IM and there was some write up on it but I do not recall the details.
