R2 Daytona on the road again (photos)

400 miles on engine rebuild (rings, bearings, heads ect.) on an unmolested, 62K mile, matching numbers, 63 Daytona R2, 4 speed, 3.31 TT. Mechanicals 95% complete (too much done to list), next comes new paint followed by the interior. I have all of the pieces necessary to complete the rebuild, my goal is Springfield 2011. Included photos of my new car hauler picked up in Baxley, GA earlier this month. I also stopped in Hazlehurst, GA and met with a couple of Studebaker guys, it was a great trip.

The only trips I have made with the trailer are 600 miles from Baxley, GA and locally hauling 1200 lbs of fertilizer, no problems either time. Gas mileage decreased 2 MPG when pulling the empty trailer, the manufacturer lists the empty weight for the 18 ft, steel deck car hauler at 2140 lbs. I ordered the trailer with a few of the options they offered but I still have to make some minor modifications myself. Down2Earth was very professional and easy to deal with, I am very pleased with the trailer.
