[:o)]The Panhandle Council of Car Clubs of Amarillo put on a little benefit car show today to help support the Amarillo War Memorial here. There was a nice turnout of cars even though we did get sprinkled on a couple of times. There were 3 Studebakers in attendance. I was asked to bring a Hudson, so that's what I brought.[:o)]

Steve has a couple other Hudsons too, just as nice as that '54. ;) I gotta say, I like Hudsons just as much as Studebaker trucks. [8D]

[:o)]That would be correct. And the displacement on the Big 6 is 308 cubic inches.[:o)]

[:o)]Sal, of course, I am prejudiced....but the Mercs were tinny and gutless compared to the Hudson. And, the "Hudson" look came BEFORE the Mercs.[:o)]

Nice Hornet[8D]. Back in the 60's there was a similar Hornet that ran alot at the drag strips in western Washington State. It was painted Kermit the Frog green and was called "The Green Toad". It was fast and a real crowd favorite.

Steve, your super-gorgeous Hornet is a real ambassador for independent manufacturers vehicles. The engine was a pacemaker in early NASCAR and I hope others remembered that fact at the show (preferably by some wasp-waisted female!). Anyway, your Twin H Hudson must go like a jet, or do you feel more like a commodore in that big boat than a pilot?[:o)]

OOps. Re my above reply - Ambassador was a Nash, not a Hudson. Oh well, excitement of the moment, And I'm over 50.:D
I believe the other Hudson models hidden in the reply are OK.
