  • 1950 coupe rear window seals

I had a new headliner installed and the rubber seals for the back spilt windows replaced. When replacing the outside rear chrome center piece there is a gap it each end of the chrome piece where it was cut out and curved at each end. Was there a seal for each end of the chrome piece? I check at Studebaker Int. and they said no.Do I just fill that in or what? Any help?

    Thanks

If the rubber is correct, and the nutsert clips are in good shape, the screws should draw the stainless molding reasonably close. I wouldn't expect a perfect tight fit. There were no other fillers. If the gap is unreasonable you have another issue.

When I removed the old rubber there was no center strip.I've not tryed to install it yet. Got the rubber from Studebaker Int.,Should be correct.Just looked like it should have something there.

      Thank for the help.
