  • Local Savannah Open Show..... (pic warning)

Pat and Emily Skelly, Carrie and I went over to 'The Landings' on Skidaway Island near Savannah yesterday for a small open show..
'The Landings' is an upscale retirement community that has an art festival every year at this time. The Mustang Club sponsored the car show, and they did a great job. Met a guy (Chuck)at the Statesboro festival show a few weeks ago that lives there, and he brought his Willys Jeepster over. What a neat machine!
He had some problems with his driver's seat..

Only two Studebakers were in attendance, and both of them received a nice award...Despite their 'mechanical' problems..
(The judges were from the local Ford dealership)..

Anyways... I had problems with my bed cover lifting up, and had to ask for some help to hold it down[]

Pat had some problems with his passenger seat slider, and he had to get some help to fix that, too[|)]

And them my front seat started acting up again....

Some other pic's are up on webshots at:

Hard to keep these machines in tip top shape these days

        The best kind.
Open, friendly, independently judged (most everyone who registered won something, even if just a token something)..
Perfect weather, nice, friendly, happy, inquisitive people.
Laid back, no agenda's, no quibbling, no sniping (even amongst Mustang guys, which was amazing)...
Oh, did I mention the eye candy?[]

            Sorry Neil,
250 miles one way for a chapter meeting is kind of tough, especially this weekend with family stuff Sunday.
This show was 30 minutes away.
            Tell you what...
Put this show on your calendar for next year and hold your chapter meeting over this way.
Maybe I can host a meeting sometime at my place, too...

Jeff, This meeting was supposed to be in your back yard{Richmond Hill} but the host backed out. Last minute plans placed us in Cairo with the Great Georgia Car Rally. For me the driving distance wasn't much difference. Our next meeting will be in Baxley. 'Bout 10 minutes from me. NT
