For you people (Dave Lester)[:p][:p][:p] that think that I never get anything accomplished, I submit proof.
I bolted on another part today. A new motor with a varible/intermintant two speed switch from Speciality Power Windows. Of course I had to add a little bit of chrome to it.;)

Since I am using a 5 speed instead of an automatic tranny, I have some extra room under the floor. Enough room to put a recess in the floor for the parling brake handle. This pic is of it pulled up to lock the brakes. When it's released there's two inchs of clearance between the handle and the insulation. When I get the carpet in it should just right to wrap my big fat fingers around the handle.

Nice parking brake installation. Just right for making those fast power-slide turns!

Those are '92 Pontiac Grand Am front seats, I will be doing away with the head rests, I don't think high back buckets look right in a '50's model rod. They will be covered in red and white vinyl to match this side panel I have already made and installed. The rear seat isn't recovered yet, it's still black and white. I colored it with photo shop.

I'll quit posting pictures and just post a link. It may be driving the guys that are on dial up nuts.
Now that I finished installing the wiper assy, I thought I'd just go ahead and reinstall the heat/cool unit. It's a Vintage Air Gen II Compact. I hope it's enough to cool this baby down. If not, I'll have to install another evaporator in the trunk.:)

Jerry,
Either link or pics here are great with me.

Just keep us posted with detailed photos. By the way, what heat blanket are you using? I'm getting ready to install my carpeting, interior, and headliner in my '53, and haven't purchased insulation yet.

Air encapsulated plastic with foil on each side. Get it at Lowes.
Use 3M spray adhesive to glue it in with. Use air conditioner's tape to cover the seams. I used two layers on the firewall, front floorboard and under the rear seat just above the mufflers.
