Striped carpet?

There's been a couple of carpet threads (no pun intended) here lately. But I didn't see any mention or illustration of something that has me curious. I read somewhere that Speedsters had a striped carpet originally.

Does anyone have a picture of this stuff, or a place to direct me where I could find a picture of it? Or did I dream reading about this? At first thought, it sounds rather ugly.

They are not striped, just a mat like weave of tiny squares, more like this.

Yes, it's called "Daytona", but make sure that's what's used on Speedsters. I think they used it, but not positive, I know it was the premium carpet used on Golden Hawks. I can do it, but need to check the cost.

It looks as corse as the material I recieved from Phantom, but the pattern looks a little different. Mine is green but there is a kind of red and gray pattern also, depends on the color of the Speedster.

Are salt-n-pepper carpets available for avantis? Some of the garbage I have seen passing for 'just like the original' is a joke! Better to just put in solid black?
