Wife and I took the Stude, Friday night, ( it's first real public outing)to meet friends for my 65th birthday dinner. As I have not yet replaced the non-op door locks, I parked close to the entrance, where I could quickly come out to check on it periodically.
Each time I peered out the door, there were 2-4 people drooling over it , cornering me and asking me so many questions, I had to gulp my Margaritas and eat my dinner in shifts !
One fellow mentioned that it did not have the normal 57 fins, I replied " rear end (rear fenders/deck) is a 1956", his wife
pointed to her backside, then blurted, "well my rear end is a 1959 !" They then returned inside for another Margarita, while I was still rolling on the ground in laughter ! In conclusion-
had a great time and possibly gained some future Stude owners.
