I getting to the fun part of the flip, the shake down driving and tweaking phase. i.e., today took a top down drive with the wife to the parts store, then got side tracked driving to a half dozen yard sales where the car was the center of attention. It ran and drove fine, but was not as smooth running as I'd like so I did the plugs, points and condenser deal. After doing that, the idle speed was a bit too high and I could not adjust it down. It turned out the carb rebuilder had installed the choke link backwards so it was idling on the high idle cam with the choke off.
I installed a new NOS turn signal lever (thanks Jeff) and just kept detailing the body, interior and chassis. Added a detailed jack, mounted and aligned the glove box door, hooked up a top well drain. BTW, did not add the $51 dollars to fill up the tank, nor the test drive "labor".
Parts $68.00, labor, 9 hours, total to date: $1328, 69 hours.
