  • C-K horns

I've tried about every website and no luck.
Looking for a pair of horns from a 56 C-K or later C-K that should be 12V to install on my 53 Commander hardtop that has been converted to 12V.
No luck with salvage yards, SA, SI or others. Anyone have a lead on a pair.
    Thanks
    Mike D

If you have your original 6-volt horns and they work, they will work on 12-volt. They will just be louder and you don't want to lean on them too long.

If an original "look" isn't super important, virtually any 12v horns can be easily adapted to work. I'm using some bone yard BMW horns on my '54. A nice European sound that kind of goes with the look of the car.

They are hidden under the upper air deflector so appearance shouldn't be an issue.

I've got one horn mounted under the hood on the fender well. Dont know if it is hi or low. No marking. Sounds low and lound so maybe 6v getting 12v. I think I will just get a couple of universal from SI and mount them where they are supposed to be.
thanks for the patience with me
