In a couple of months I'll be 68. I'm 6'3" tall with a hump in my back from working on airplanes and cars seams like all my life. I live on a Indian reservation in Oklahoma. Like they say if the land is no good for anything else give it to the Indians.

Tex, I turn 50 this upcoming Flag Day. Old enough to remember Studes around town and the dealership building, but only ever rode in one Studebaker before I bought mine, in May '88. A friend of my mother's had a Colonial Red '60 Lark VIII Deluxe 4-door Sedan we used to ride in from time-to-time when I was a kid in the '60's. (I remember her driving barefoot and eating apples while she drove and shifted gears!)

There's a picture of me next to my white Daytona in the subject heading of "Posting a Photo". I tried to paste it here but it didn't work.

          54. Only a little older than my Speedster project. Sometimes I think I'm in as rough shape as the car is.[xx(]

54 here.Bought my first Studebaker at 20, a 1965 Commander Wagonaire, with V8,auto,radio,and heater. The first Stude I remember was my aunt's late 40's Land Cruiser that met it's demise colliding with a moose in Maine.
I remember trying to talk my dad into buying a new 63 Avanti after spotting a black one driving around my old home town, but he was a Ford die hard and with 5 kids he just laughed that idea off.

Funny thing, I had a woman (and pretty darn looking for 58) ask me the same thing in Florida last week. While I told her, you are only getting that I am past the 1/2 century mark (but my wife is still in her 30's ). Bought my first Studebaker at the age of 15 for the princely sum of $75.00 (the second one only cost me $40.00 ).

Remember, you're only as young as the girls you feel and you don't stop playing with toys because you get old, you get old because you stop playing with toys.

69 a couple of months ago. My '55 is my last project.

I bought my second Stude (53 coupe) in 59 and still driving it.

I turn 54 in 2 weeks. I have enough car projects sitting around to last till I'm 80 if I don't buy another. I am going shopping this weekend. My 3rd grandchild is being delivered in Alaska as I type this.
