Does a Avanti shift pattern on all 63-64 go like this?
P
R
N
D
L
and were they all floor shift?
Any other Studebakers use this pattern?
If NO----Why only Avanti?

To answer part of your question all Power Shift transmissions had that pattern in Hawks, Larks and Avantis.

To answer the next question, all automatic Avantis were Powershifts, but not all Powershifts were installed in Avantis. They were optional on all V-8 cars in '63 and '64 and were one of the three transmission choices with the optional R-engines (the others being a T-10 4 speed or a heavy duty Flightomatic.)

To answer one final detail/question; all powershifts were floor shifts and the only floor shift automatic. Did we get them all?

Thanks, I believe I'm on the right path now. So a non "R" Avanti could have a colum shifter?

No such thing as a non R Avanti (at least a '63-64 Avanti)
