    Interesting problem
I have a 57 golden Hawk. Build sheet shows a gold interior.
When I bought the car I thought the interior had been changed to green.
In talking to the last owner[2nd],he said the interior was gold and it must have tinted to green during storage or as a result of time.
The interior is in like new condition but I am in process of ordering a new gold interior.
Is this color change from gold to green really possible?
If so, is there a way to bring the color back?
The car is in super shape and was a high point car not too long ago and I am trying to bring it back
    Thanks
    Dick in Seneca Falls, NY

I had a project 57 GH for while - sold it after a few years as the full resto it deserved wasn't materializing. Anyway, the original upholstery was in poor condition, but had definitely turned green with age - possibly from sunlight exposure or oxidation. try pulling out the back seat to see if the portion tucked around back is also green, or gold.

The vinyl can be "dyed" (PAINTED). I've done this a BUNCH of times and the new vinyl "dyes" are incredible. If you have fabric that has changed color there is nothing you can do.
