  • Belond Studebaker headers

I am sitting here waiting on a phone call to let me know when I can go look at the Marshal, and looking at old magazines. I ran across at least three ads for Belond headers for V/8 Stude. Anybody ever hear of these or see any?

Belond was a big name in the '50s. Their Stude headers I have seen are very small tubes, designed for the 232". They rusted quickly and don't offer any performance increase on larger engines. I am in the process of cleaning up a set just now. Will post some photos after they are sandblasted and coated. They will look trick on a retro-'53.

Sandy Belond's So. Cal. Muffler Co. made the Equa-Flow exhaust systems.
Now if you want RARE headers, look at these, also from the early fifties:

I have never cared for headers on a street car unless they were Cast iron. ala R3, Ford 390 HiPo, 406, 427 etc. I'm an FE engine man.
That said, at $46 per pair, send me two sets.
