How Does Your Spouse Feel About Studebakers

My wife wants to go every Studebaker event. She can't wait till the next meeting. She has worked no telling how many days this winter on the Ozark Trails History. Trying to find stuff that people has put in their closet and drawers. She thinks she has got it done. And any time I need a helping hand working on the cars she is there.

My wife has been my savior with regard to my 54 Coupe. Many years ago, the coupe was down for repairs on the front suspension and the R1 4 speed transplant. I had gotten in a rut at work and was discouraged with the pace of the repairs. I told her that if the car was not done by that Spring, I was going to sell it and wait for another to come along later. She most adamantly said that I was not to sell the car. She knew that I would regret that choice for the rest of my life. I had bought the car for $50 when I was in high school in '71. It had been and still is my dream car since I was 10 years old. So I kept it and still have it. What a great woman. She doesn't like the meets or get involved herself, but always makes time for me to go when I want to attend. She's fabulous.

At first mine wasn't very interested,but after taking her to a few swap meets she's started making plans.She wants me to modify Lena with more HP,mag wheels and red interior,flames etc. I'm drawing the line at the Betty Boop graphics she wants on the rear though![8D]
