  • 1953 Coupe gas tank

Is anyone making a new one? I have a 53 in need of a donor. I have one which needs major reconditioning. Any thoughts on the floor boards on EBay?

    John,

    Welcome to the Forum.
No one's reproduced the tank, though there was a nice one at the York Swap Meet last weekend. These are not hard to restore.

I haven't seen the floorboards of which you speak. Can you provide a link?

After market floor pans are available from Classic Enterprises. Perhaps someone is selling a set they got from Classic.

I have one that has a rusted top and pitted. I was looking for a better alternative.

It's a moot point since bidding is over but, they were repops, and NOT cLASSIC eNTERPRISE.

How bad is your gas tank?

I have a tank out of a 54 that is the same. It is primed and the inside was cleaned about a year ago. I think I might be willing to let it go for a fair price. Does anyone here know what would be fair?If you want I can post some pic's of it later this week. Maybe tomorrow if I get a chance.

Was your tank reconditioned or is it an original in great shape?
