The last two 'true' Hilborn injectiion units that were up on Ebay were older, mechanical race units.
The fuel pump drive was off the camshaft and the pump mounts right to the timing cover.
So, you won't be using the stock water pump manifold on the engine.
Would it work on any other engines? Sure, if you modified it.
Even if you did totally rebuild it (all new lines, and rebuild the nozzles),
it would be awful on the street, with a very high idle setting, poor idle qualities (fouls plugs real easy), and subject to backfiring...
Closest fit somewhere else would probably be an older Caddy engine.
That injection setup really belongs on a museum car, or in a display case in a museum.
    But that's just one guy's opinion[}]

Im trying to find information on a Hilborn fuel injection unit that would be used on a 50s Studebaker. Im searching online and not finding nothing.
The only thing close was an eBay auction at $2500..Although no bids.

I might pick it up just to make a buck if its worth anything close to that..

Would it work on any other cars.

I appreciate the time and help!

I did some research on the units a few years back when one was on ebay. In general, they are for racing only unless given a expensive update for street use. i.e. spray gas from a bottle into the throats, no choke or accelerator pump, only designed for wide open throttle.

        Here's what Hilborn says:

"Can I run a HILBORN mechanical fuel injector on a street car?

        No.
Our mechanical fuel injectors are manufactured strictly for racing applications. Since the mechanical castings are designed for maximum air flow and do not have a metering system for low speed operation, they are not recommended for street use."

        64 R2 GT (Sid)
        spent to date $62,839.60
        63 R2 SuperHawk (Caesar)
        spent to date $54664,75
        63 Daytona HT/4 speed

Worth 2K or more for the Studebaker version to the right guy, they only made a handful.

                            The current trnd is to convert the mechanical units to efi its fairly simple but costs a few dollars. You can run mechanical injection on the street if its set up properly and has a surge tank for supplying fuel for startup {dont think I would for more than a cruise night ride}
                            Thanks
