  • Intake/Exhaust Manifold Champion Engines Differences 1947 vs. 1954

    Hi All.

An M Truck Owner has a '47 Truck with a bad intake/exhaust manifold (part 515822) on a Champion engine.

    I have a '54 intake/exhaust manifold (part 532337) from a Champion engine.

Are there any significant differences in Champion engine intake/exhaust manifolds in these years?

Can this '54 fit on to his '47 Champion engine without any issues?? Will there be problems on fitment?

    Appreciate all assistance.

No, it won't fit as is.

The problem is in the carburetor base mount configuration.

47-52 has a symmetrical mount, while 53-58 has what I call a "D" shaped mount. The carburetor bases are different.
