    i RECALL READING HOW TO REMOVE THE PITMAN ARM RECENTLY BUT CAN'T FIND THE POSTING

    can anyone give me advise on best way to safely remove my pitman arm off steering box

    You have to take the pinch bolt completely out if it is power steering.. The sector shaft is notched.

      My mistake, Some early 58's and all 58 Packards still used the Saginaw integral box. Later Studes used the Bendix linkage type with the slave cylinder, and pitman mounted control valve.
