1957 Studebaker Provincial Wagon. Should have a 259 V8 with automatic transmission. Basic interior appointments. Cyclops speedometer just behind the steering wheel on the top of the dash. Thats the same color combo as my 56 Wagon. (at least what it used to be)
Is it for sale? Are you buying it? Or is it available? Someone may be interested in it.

I had never heard of a Provincial before, I looked them up and yes there they are, this one is not mine but it does have a FOR SALE sign on it under the snow. It is at Cawston on the Hope Prinston Highway in B.C.Click image for larger version

It doesn't look any different than any other '57 Stude. Sedan or Wagon, there were 2 Door Wagons: (Champion) Pelhams and (Commander) Parkviews, also 4 Door Wagons; (Commander) Provincials and (President) Broadmoor Wagons.

All the other makes had different names for their various Sedan Trim Level counterpart Wagons; Town and Countries, Yeomans, Brookwoods, Nomads, Ranch Wagons, Country Sedans, Plymouth Suburbans etc.

Richard, were the Provincial models Canadian only or American as well? The only place I could find the Studebaker name was on the dash. I was driving by at 60MPH and only saw it for seconds but I stopped on my way back to check it out and could not find Studebaker any where on it, It may have been on the back but there was too much snow on it. It may be salvageable to the right person.

The Provincial name was used on American and Canadian vehicles.

The word "Studebaker" is very small on the Crest Emblem on the Hood and Tailgate and there were also Block Letters all the way across the Tailgate.

I don't believe any other name was used in non-North American markets for the four door wagon. I posted a South African market 1958 Provincial here: http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.c...udebaker-Wagon

And here is a Dutch-market ad for a 1958 Champion four door wagon: http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/stati...tch%20-09.html

And, of course, there was the extremely rare Provincial Express.

                    David,
I thought that Cawston tire shop/garage was closer to the west side of Keremeos towards Hedley than actual Cawston town which is east of Keremeos. I just don't want to mislead anyone.
There was also the wagon(Provincial?) I posted several years ago languishing full of tumbleweeds in very northern Nevada at a hole in the wall named Denio.
                    Luck to whoever rescues it.

That's an incredibly-good "invoice," Gary! BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.
