  • Station Wagon in Spain

Came across one copy of “Station Wagon in Spain” by Frances Parkinson Keys. Book caught my attention because of the 1959 Lark wagon pictured on the dust jacket. I have another copy somewhere in the house. I found one copy in a second hand book store years ago, and a friend gave me a copy she had found at a yard sale. Wonder why Ms. Keyes went for a Studebaker Wagon on the jacket? I remember the new Lark was quite popular and trendy in 1959 perhaps that’s the reason?

"So he splurged with a big new station wagon; he took ship for Spain;"

Has anyone actually read this potboiler and determined if the station wagon in the book was actually identified as a Lark?
