  • 61 Hawk Body Number Plate

All the best for the New Year Everyone.
My 61 Hawk is missing the Body number plate that mounts on the fire wall,
I have the vin number plate, has anyone got a 61 body number plate off a wreck,
or can I get a repo, (obviously the number will not be correct for the car, but will look complete)

    regards, Cus

There are people that have collections of body number plates. You could probably get one with the correct year and model, but not body number.
Someone does reproduce body number plates. That way, you could get a correct one for your car.
Hopefully, the appropriate people will respond to your post.

I have one on a parts car. You can have it, just pay shipping.

You can order the Production Order from the Stude National Museum, that’ll have the body number listed. Then Jerry Kurtz can make a new one that’ll have the correct number on it.

As Matt indicated, the production order will list the original body number, and Jerry Kurtz can make one to match.

If the body number doesn't concern you, I know Tom Karkiewicz has quite a collection of tags. He's in South Bend, Indiana.

I was notified of another body tag that you can have for the price of shipping. This '61 Hawk tag is; 61V C6 378. Contact MFG on the AOAI Forum if you want it.

Thanks for all the replies, some great info.
I'm lucky enough to have the original Sydney Dealership tag, from looking at the post from Gary, I think the stock number might be the body number,Click image for larger version

On another post, I saw an entry by Stude Dude saying that Australian-assembled Hawks did not have a body number.
