  • Photo Request (47-52 Original Sunvisor)

I would like to see some photos of how original Studebaker accessory sunvisors mounted to the car. I am looking for close-up photos of the brackets and how and where they attach to the car.

I seem to remember that a few people have cars with original accessory visors. I would greatly appreciate any photos that anyone is willing to share.

    Thanks
    Wayne

Thanks for the reply Craig. I actually forgot these blinds existed. I was referring to the external mount sunvisor above the windshield.

This is the original one piece fiberglass visor for cars with one piece windshields. Center mounting with a two piece windshield used different hardware, as the center bracket was attached to the center windshield divider bar.

Here’s some pictures of the visor on our ‘50 Land Cruiser. I believe it’s been on the car since 1950. Click image for larger version

ID:	1724858The brackets are slightly different from the ones already posted, though they are both from single windshield cars. I hope you find them helpful.

There were two factory accessory visors, the one piece fiberglass one and the two piece metal one. Neat to see photos of both.

And, as I mentioned, with a two piece windshield the center bracket would clamp to the divider bar. But the two piece visor requires that center support for stability in either case.
